Automotive giant General Motors has been set in a down turning spiral in recent times. With problems encountered getting bailed out by the government, turning brands they want to keep around, and selling off other brands to help keep profits alive, they are not making much progress. The giant owns several major companies such as Chevy, Buick, Cadillac, Hummer, Pontiac, Saturn, SAAB, GMC, Daewoo, Holden, Opel, Vauxhall, and Wuling (PRNewswire, 2009). GM has tried and failed to sell off several of its European and American based brands to various other stock holders, businesses and other automotive manufacturers. Of these companies GM has tried to sell off Saturn, Hummer, SAAB, and Opel, and has shut down the production of Pontiac branded automobiles. The most recent sale on the table was the sale of SAAB, a Swedish made car, to another Sweden based company, Koenigsegg. This sale had many people excited about the future of the SAAB...

Over the last three years I have lent my garage space out to people for various reasons and each reason was to be shortly resolved and my space returned to me, which often was not the case. Time and time again plans were ruined, other problems happened, resulting in my shop space remaining full for months on end. Now recently I have had a large portion of space returned to me and I realized just how bad a mess can be if your space is loaned out and the remaining open space becomes your only space. It seems that when your garage is nearly filled up with automobiles and furniture any work you do becomes a massive pain in the ass to clean. After the last person retrieved their belongings I found myself spending the last few days cleaning up a mess that I thought only occupied one small corner of my garage. The mess seemed to gain in height and had managed to wonder under every space that was opened up under a piece of furniture or a car. I had to toss a desk, washer dryer, loads of Pontiac and Nissan parts, beer bottles galore, soda cans and empty packs of smokes. It was astonishing how many garbage bags were filled during the cleaning process.

CollectiveAutoRepair is seeking a dedicated person or team to help out on a small scale. If you or your team has a long term project whether it is a rebuild, race car, drag bike, or restoration then you are what we are considering. To meet the requirements for our Sponsorship program you must have the ability to film, photograph, and upload helpful and entertaining content to the CollectiveAutoRepair website. The program will start early 2010 so contact us to be considered. We will be assisting in the purchase of certain supplies, fuel, tape (for filming), and other items will vary depending on your project. We know it isn't much at the moment but this is only the start. If this first try is a success for the website then more will be given to our sponsored people and teams.
